British Steel: Redcar Ironworks, Warrenby

On Friday 14th June 1895, a huge boiler explosion occurred at Redcar Iron Works, Warrenby (Walker, Maynard & Co.). 12 of the 15 boilers exploded, killing 3 men and injuring a further 17; 8 of whom subsequently died.
